Greetings!

As I was evaluating blogging applications for the upcoming New Hope youth website, I became a bit more interested in the idea of blogging. Now, I’ve been involved in a good number of online forums over the years. In those years I’ve posted a lot of information and some of it still exists. However a lot disappears as sites go down or admins fail to back up the data.

I’ve chosen Wordpress as the backend for this site for a number of reasons. Too many of the sites were perl driven. No, dont get me wrong. I love perl. But having installed a number of perl based web applications, I’ve learned that upgrading can be a real pill. Wordpress is written in PHP and the installation was very simple.

It will take a few weeks for me to design a theme that I like and get some more content in here.
