so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, (Titus 2:4)
Women have a purpose in the church. They are to train, guide, and instruct the younger women of the church on how to be Godly women. That training process is not to be done flippantly. This is not to have a worldly approach to it. It is to be focused. It is to be intentional. It requires single mindedness. The desired outcome is God’s glory, and His alone. The mindset of the world runs contrary to God’s will. It requires the mind of Christ. It requires a sound mind.
Young women are to love their husbands. Women have husbands, not other women. Women are to love their OWN husbands not someone else’s husband.
Young women are to love their children. They are to raise their children in a Godly home, with Godly instruction.
So is this just theoretical classroom training on the part of these older women? Definitely not. The younger learn from practical observation. This implies a few things.
First, the older women must live a life that exemplifies the lessons that they are instructed to teach. The older women must be loving their husbands. They must also be loving their own children.
Second, the older women must be with and around the younger women in order to be observed and to teach them.
