The grace of God teaches us, a subset of all men, comprised of those who believe on the Lord Jesus, how to live.
Believers are to deny ungodliness. Behaviors and actions that do not reflect the very nature of God should be eschewed by believers. We do not lie, because God is Truth. We are fair in our dealings, because God is just. We can discern what is ungodly by knowing God himself.
Believers are to deny worldly desires. Our relationship with Christ, as believers, is to fulfill all our desires. Just as the desires of a young woman are to be towards her husband (Titus 2:4), so the desires of the Church should be to the Bridegroom.
Believers are to live sensibly, righteously, and godly now. The apostle Paul does not tell believers to live sensibly, righteously, and godly at some arbitrary future time. Despite all the junk going on around you, live for Christ NOW. You may be the only one with a godly testimony in your workplace, live for Christ NOW.
