Notes: Titus 3:4

But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,  (Titus 3:4)

But

A time before, a time after.  A thought before, a thought after.  The “but” should be highlighted every time you come across it.  It represents a turning point in thought.

We once were also in a depraved state (Titus 3:3) BUT…

Something happened to change our state.  That was before, this is now.  What changed?  Before the worlds were created, God had authored a great plan of salvation.  God whose very nature is Love, poured out that love upon His chosen people by sending His only Son as the sacrifice for us.

Death…but now…Life.
Slavery…but now…liberty.
Eternal separation…but now…eternal fellowship.
