But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. (1 Timothy 2:12)
Whether we like it or not, God ordained a specific order of roles for the genders.
Within the confines of that order:
women are not to teach men
This would disallow women as preachers and teachers or any other position in which they would be giving instruction to men within the church.
women are not to exercise authority of men
This would disallow women in any administrative position that would permit them to exercise authority over men.
women are to remain quiet
