Some of you may have noticed that all postings died off around the middle of May and that the commentary on Timothy died around the middle of April.
It is not that my desire has dropped, if anything, it has increased. My problem lies in that as I moved through Paul’s letter to Timothy, my heart grew heavier and heavier as I worked through the instructions for pastors.
I would read through I Timothy and see a picture of how God wanted pastors to be. I would then look at my own church specifically and other local churches and NOT see God’s instructions being carried out. My commentary was brutally harsh in its first drafts and would have done more damage in its original form than good.
Over the next 30 days, I should be caught up and back on track with the original timeline. The posts will be backdated to the date on the reading list.
